IEM European Championship Finals

Introduction
This week Roskilde Ravens CS 1.6 will be facing their biggest challenge to date, as the team will be competing in what is arguably considered the most prestigious CounterStrike tournament in Europe; The Electronic Sports League's
Intel Extreme Masters European Championship finals.
This 50.000$ tournament will be held at the Password Cultra in Cologne, Germany and will bring together some of the very best teams in Europe, who will all be trying their best fighting for the money, the glory, and furthermore a spot in the Intel Extreme Masters Global Championship finals scheduled to be held in the beginning of March.
The Prize Money:
1st: $25,000
2nd: $10,000
3rd: $5,000
4th: $2,500
5th: $1,250
6th: $1,150
7th: $1,100
8th: $1,000
9th-12th: $750
Total Prize Money: $50,000

Ravens.cs have been placed in an absolute killer group against, German EPS winners mousesports, IEM Global Challenge Chengdu winners SK-Gaming, Dreamhack Winter winners Meet Your Makers, WCG 2009 winners AGAiN and finally French EPS winners Millenium. With such a tough group of opponents, it is safe to say that our boys are considered the underdogs of the group.

As you can see, the tournament is Scheduled to start on Thursday at 11:00 CET with the first Groupstage matches, and will continue all the way until Sunday.

There has been some speculation concerning who will be using as our 5th player for this tournament, as we recently released dalle from the team. We can confirm that
Michael "Friis" Jørgensen will be our 5th for this event as a standin, and are very pleased that he is able to help the team out.

We will ofcourse keep you updated with all of our matches and results, and will try our best to add some pictures and comments along the way from our team. Furthermore, ESL TV will be doing extensive coverage of the tournament, so you can head on over to www.intelextrememasters.com for Live TV coverage from the event. Unfortunatly none of our Groupstage matches will be broadcasted, but they will still be covered by HLTV so make sure to check www.HLTV.org for all your HLTV IP's.
